Each screw ring consists of a movable decorative ring-shaped section attached to a screw-threaded base. Also known as swivel hangers, the ring section of these hangers only pivot front-to-back (they do not swivel 360 degrees around the screw). These small decorative hangers are most often used to suspend small picture frames or art objects either from a picture hook on the wall or from a cup hook or similar hook attached to the underside of a shelf or overhang.
